To kick off the series of reviews we plan to run here on My Experience Days, i thought i would start off with a £50 gift card that i recently received for Red Letter Days.
By the way - If anyone would like to submit a review of an experience day they have attended, then please feel free to send them in! Just email pete . anderson @ gmail . com (taking out the spaces).
OK, to start off with lets take a look at the packaging.
My first impression was how great the quality of the box is! There is a really nice and subtle magnetic opening to the box, and the material used to create the box is certainly of a high quality. I would certainly be more than happy to present this box as a present to someone i know (unlike some experience day gift options)
Secondly: the contents of the box.
There is a magazine displaying all the various experiences i could use my card against, displayed in an easy to read and informative manner. Then there is a single page A4 sheet with detailed instructions on how to use the voucher itself. And finally there is folded A4 piece of cardboard which contains the gift card. As you can see, on my card there is a blank space (which i presume could be for a personalised message).
The gift card itself is a plastic, credit card shaped affair. Handy for carrying around in a wallet or purse.
And the back of the card contains you “voucher number” and “security code” I have blanked these out for obvious reasons
. There is also an expiry date on the card which is worth taking note of.
Using the gift card on the site:
This was also surprisingly easy to do. There is a login box on the home page, and once you have entered your details you are taken to a page where you can choose the gift experience you want to go for! This review seems to have gone far too well so far! So i decided to try and make things difficult… I wanted to use my £50 gift card to buy a £150 gift card as a present for someone else. There was no option to choose this on the website, so i fired an email off to customer support. Less than 24 hours later i recieved a very helpful emailing giving me a phone number to call up, and explaining the situation!
Summary:
Overall i have to say that i am very impressed! Whilst this is “only” a gift card, the whole expereince i went through was an enjoyable one. From the high quality packaging to the simple to use voucher system! If anyone has any different experience, then it would be great to hear about them here (just leave a comment, or send us an email).
If you would like to get a Red Letter Days gift card they are available to order online here.
