Experiences For Him

Points of View

It’s really easy for Pete and I to write about Bungee jumping and white water rafting. My idea of a great experience day is 4 hours of rally driving following by an afternoon in a Spa with unlimited massage and we are still trying to get Pete into a hot air ballon (watch this space…)
So, this week I present to you some points of view, real life opinions from the ones that actually did 123 Bungee!

Joe had a ‘Terrifying but fantastic’  Bungee Jump experience with Red Letter Days:
“Well it all started the day I turned 40. My mother in law decided to buy me a Red Letter Day gift card so that I could do a Bungee jump, knowing that I am petrified of heights!!! (bless her). But being a good sport I went ahead and booked my jump. On the way to the venue I tried to imagine the height of the crane I would be throwing myself of off; I needn’t have bothered as I could see the crane from about a mile away! Now I was terrified. I booked in on arrival and duly sat and waited my turn, I couldn’t watch the other jumpers as I was too scared. My turn….I boarded the crane and waited with dread for it to ascend to the top, I was shaking and my mouth went dry, but I needn’t have worried as the bungee operators were amazing, they tried their very best to make me feel at ease. The jump …. I stood with my feet over the edge of the cage and listened to the countdown … 3 2 1 BUNGEE. It took all of my courage to throw myself from that cage and into the unknown. I screamed like I have never screamed before right up until I stopped swinging. So the question is would I put myself through that terrifying ordeal again??? You bet I would and I will be doing it with Red Letter Days!”

Malcolm and his son went White Water Rafting and described it as a ‘fantastic day for dad and son’.

Malcolm takes up the story…  “We thought it would be just a trickle of water but how wrong we were! It was totally brilliant, got soaked, brilliant rapids, totally safe, instructor was brilliant, had 4 runs down river, would 100% recommend to everyone. Thanks for a truly memorable day.”

Finally we have indoor skydiving - actually an introduction to indoor skydiving. James reckons you won’t regret this experience:
“Without doubt one of the most amazing experiences I have had. Just watching people do it is amazing but to be given the opportunity to participate in it is an experience I will never forget. The adrenaline rush afterwards is just something you can’t describe. Once you step in to the tunnel there is an instuctor with you and they guide through the basic moves. Being held up by air is a unique experience and I fully recommend it to people. You won’t regret it.”

Have you been on an experience day worth shouting about? If so, we would love to hear from you and to write home about?
